Two Equine Supplements You Should Be Using in The Winter

Winter is just around the corner and in this article I would like to talk with you about equine supplements that you should be giving to your horse throughout the Winter.

You see, if you've been a member of the equestrian community for some time now, if you have been around horses for at least several years you have probably noticed that cold and wet weather puts our horses under a lot of strain and if you want to make sure that your horse looks and feels great throughout the winter then you will have to start supplementing your horse's diet with two types of supplements: feed balancers and joint supplements.

First of all let's talk about feed balancers.

The fact is that throughout the winter grazing conditions are not perfect which means that our horses do not get as many vital nutrients and minerals that their bodies need from natural sources. As a result of this nutrient deficiency quite a lot of horses tend to lose weight and condition and prevent this from occurring it is recommended to start supplementing your horse's diet with a high quality feed balancer that will contain all of the essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients your horse needs to look and feel great.

Now, in addition to feed balancers, you should also look into joint supplements. The fact is that horse's joints are very vulnerable, quite simply because the constant pounding and twisting puts them under a lot of strain. The hard ground in the winter puts our horse's joints under even more strain and this increase the likelihood of an injury. To minimize the risk of joint injuries you should supplement your horse's diet with a high quality joint supplement that will strengthen and support your horse's joints.
